Katrina Sriranpong is a former Vancouver lawyer and philanthropist with a passion for aiding disadvantaged children, advocating for refugees from war-torn countries as well as promoting animal rights and protection. She was admitted into the Law Society Admission Program and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2012 and the Bar of Alberta in 2013.
In an effort to raise awareness, Katrina Sriranpong supports organizations that focus on anti-human trafficking, assisting refugees with immigration challenges, caring for orphans requiring medical treatment and campaigning for animal rights.
Before becoming the only Thai speaking immigration and refugee lawyer in Vancouver, British Columbia, Katrina Sriranpong attended the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University and received further training from the University of Leicester and Oxford University. Since graduating from university, she has compiled an impressive portfolio detailing her dedication to non-profit organizations and work to provide funding to these organizations by utilizing her connections with lawyers, health care professionals and local small business owners.
Katrina Sriranpong has a deep interest in assisting vulnerable and marginalized children. As a result, she has supported organizations that focus on humanitarian aid for children such as UNICEF, War Child, Save the Children, New Hope Foundation, and Operation Underground Railroad.
In addition, Katrina Sriranpong donates to organizations that are focused on protecting the habitats of animals and rescuing those that are threatened such as the Orangutan Project, Soi Dog Foundation, and Elephant Nature Park.
In her leisure time, Katrina Sriranpong enjoys travelling to Thailand, exploring the West Coast of Canada and spending time with her family. She is also bilingual in both English and Thai.
